The Marching Eagles are a co-curricular ensemble open to all students 9-12th grade at Carl Sandburg High School. The Marching Eagles perform at many competitive festivals, parades, home football games and other community performances. Sections of the ensemble include woodwinds, brass, percussion and color guard. Registration for the Marching Eagles is mid- spring and the commitment form can be found below.
The Marching Eagles have performed in many locations throughout the US including: Hawaii in the Waikiki Holiday Parade and multiple performances at the USS Arizona in the commemoration of Pearl Harbor, New Orleans and the Sugar Bowl, Walt Disney World in the Main Street Parade and Universal Studios, Walt Disney Land, Illinois State Fair Parade, among others. As of recent, the Marching Eagles recieved a 1st Place rating in Class 6A at the 2022 Illinois Marching Band Champioships.
