Concert Orchestra: The Sandburg Concert Orchestra represents introductory high school orchestra instruction for students in grades 9 & 10. Students in this class will focus on mastering and building technique that will be necessary for advancing to the two other orchestras.
Philharmonic Orchestra: This orchestra is comprised of intermediate level players in all grade levels, who have shown a mastery of the higher positions, bowing technique, and left had technique necessary for the literature presented for performance. Students are selected for this orchestra by audition only.
Sandburg Symphony Orchestra: The Symphony Orchestra is comprised of all grade level students who have shown mastery in all levels on their instrument. No student will be enrolled in this orchestra unless auditioned and approved by the orchestra director.
